This was an interesting day. I wasn't as involved as I thought I was going to be, but I managed to make some better understanding how different types of venues handle events. I was able to examine how different types of people work together, and I managed to better know some people. Because of this day, I can't wait to see what working with different types of personalities can teach me.

Networking opportunities i couldn't turn down
Riverside, CA & Victoria Gardens in Rancho cucamonga, CA
September 13, 2018
I happened to run into a news truck, and though I second-thought myself being able to effectively network, I did! I managed to talk to the crew and the news anchor, both of who were so nice and open to asking me questions. In the end of the 30 minute-45 minute conversation I had with them, they let me connect the audio, since I told them I aspire to do live sound. I got a photo-op, also which was something I will never forget!

I was driving home from doing errands when I heard on KFRG that they were going to be at Victoria Gardens for their summer concerts they held on Fridays. I was a little hesitant to try to go, but I was told earlier in that week that I needed to network anyway I could, and to experience different types of venues, so I ended up catching the last 20 minutes of the show when I built up the courage to head down to the sound crew. I asked if I could ask some questions, then I ended up helping tear down the equipment and talking for about 45 minutes. It was great!
All this to say that even if I'm scared, I'll try to work up the courage to take that risk. It worked, and has been! Praise God!
